WFJ: It’s like taking a ride!

21 February 2010 No Comment

Early morning, before dawn, I’m calling “them that love Me, and those that seek Me early” (Proverbs 8:17) to just “come unto Me, and I will give you  rest” (Matthew 11:28)!

“Rest”? You ask … “I just woke up from a whole night’s sleep! Why do I need “rest”?

The type of rest that I offer you in the early morning is the “inner peace” of knowing that I’ve got everything under control and that whatever happens that day, you don’t have to worry and fret about it, but you can simply rest in My presence, knowing that I will take care of it!

It’s like taking a ride! If you were to wake up late in the morning and you just get out of bed and run to the train station to catch a ride to your day’s work, but you missed the train … what would you have to do? Let’s say that you missed the train and there’s not another one coming early enough to get you to your office on time! You would probably look around to see if you can find a bus or some other way to get there on time! Or you might decide to just walk very fast and try to get to the office on time …

Perhaps you will find a bus, or you might decide to run to the office on your own feet, and perhaps you will even manage to get there on time, but “how” will you get there? I mean … what will be the state of your mind and the inner feelings of your heart? Would you be in a state of “rest” and feel trustful and confident? Or would be in turmoil and anxiety? And how will that affect your day’s work and performance? Do you think that the inner conditions of your spirit have an impact on your mind and your ability to perform?

Wouldn’t it be much easier for you to just get up early enough and be able to “take the ride” of My Spirit and enter into your day with a peaceful and restful attitude? Wouldn’t it be much easier to just sit peacefully and calmly in the train seat of My presence and let Me take you to your destination on time, so that you will get there rested and tranquil, knowing that I have everything under My control, and that I will make sure that “all things will work together for your good” (Romans 8:28)?

Think about it, and reflect upon this …
