If your heart is full of confidence and trust in God, you can wake up every morning with a feeling of joy and excitement, ready to experience another day full of wonderful surprises! As the radiant dawn of the day, God likes to surprise us, His children, with His love and mercies which are made new every morning! “Your compassions are new every morning, great is your faithfulness” (Lam. 3:23)!
No matter what happened yesterday, the mistakes made in the past, the sins committed, the wounds inflicted or suffered from others, every morning the Lord renews His mercy for us, erasing the past and offering us a new chance, for great is His faithfulness! No matter what we have done or not done in the past, even “if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself” (2Tim. 2:13).
We can count on His promise! “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, He is faithful who made the promise” (Heb. 10:23). How can we hold fast the confession of our faith, without wavering? The apostle Paul said, “I know Whom I have believed, and I’m persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed unto Him” (2Tim. 1:12)!
Knowing Whom I have believed, and having personally experienced His faithfulness, I know that He’s faithful to keep His promise and what I’ve committed to Him! Not only what I have committed to His throne of grace, but also “the good thing which was committed to me by the Holy Ghost” (2Tim. 1:14), to equip me for His divine purposes for my life!
The good thing which was committed to us is the call of God for our life! “God has saved us and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace” (2Tim. 1:9). He has a special purpose and call for our lives! We were not born by chance in this generation, but there’s a special project that He wants to achieve in our lives! The Bible says that we are “called according to His purpose” (Rom. 8:28), and that “we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for the good works which God has before ordained that we should walk in them “(Ephes. 2.10).
We are constantly told that God has a purpose for each of our lives, something special and a difference that only you can make in this world! No one else can take your place, for God has promised to keep “the good thing which was committed to you” until the day you fulfill it! “He is faithful who made the promise” (Heb. 10:23).
You don’t need to see it to believe it, His word is enough! As the centurion said to Jesus: “Lord, trouble not yourself: just say a word! Jesus marveled at him, and said to the people that followed Him, I have not found so great faith” “(Luke 6:6-9).
Is God’s word enough for you? Some say: “I will believe it when I see it”! But, for Christians, His word should be enough, for we “know Whom we have believed” (2Tim. 1:12), and we “hold fast the profession of our faith, without wavering”, knowing that “He is faithful who made the promise” (Heb. 10:23).
If you find it difficult to believe, and still need some physical evidence (such as miracles of healing, or divine providence), listen to what the word of God says, because “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen “(Hebrews 11:1).
Your future is as bright as God’s promises! The media might give you discouraging news, such as: “Recession! We will all starve”! But the good news of God’s word is:
“The Lord knows the days of the upright: in the days of famine they shall be satisfied” (Psalm 37:18,19).
“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread” (Psalm 37:25)
“God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19).
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. “(Psalm 23:1,6).
“The path of the righteous is as the dawning light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day”(Prov. 4:18).
There’s a bright future awaiting you!
