Faith Foundations

Ever since I discovered that behind Creation there’s an “Intelligent Design” and life on earth is not a coincidence, but it has a specific purpose, I devoted myself to a careful study of the Sacred Scriptures, convinced that in them we can find all the clues that are needed to fulfill our destiny. Just as every human invention first started with a project and then it was carefully assembled in each of its parts for a specific purpose, even so our life has a purpose that we can discover as we look into the “manual” of instructions which has been made available to us: the Bible.

Jesus said: “Whoever hears My sayings and does them, he’s like a man who built a house and digged deep to lay the foundation on a rock. When the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently on that house, but could not shake it: for it was founded on a rock” (Luke 6:4).

Most people cannot deny that Jesus’ teachings provide a rock-solid foundation on which to build a better world, yet His words have been largely disregarded in the era we live in, and that’s why our modern society is not only shaking, but collapsing, under the flood of uncertainty that is beating against it. What we need are strong values of faith that will provide a solid foundation on which to build our life.

During our 40 years of missionary experience in over 15 countries around the world, I always applied myself to a faithful study of God’s Word, as revealed in the Bible, in order to lay a solid foundation of faith upon which to build my life, that of my family, and that of those who are closely associated with me and listen to what I have to say.

Anyone who will venture out in a discovery journey of the truths contained in the Bible, will be pleased to find in it a source of divine wisdom that “is more precious than rubies: it cannot be compared by all the things one can desire” (Proverbs 3:15 ).

Jesus said: “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life” (John 4:14).

We all know that the most essential element for life is water, and that people suffer greatly in those countries where there’s a shortage or lack of it. Yet I’ve noticed that, even in our modern countries, those who are not regularly drinking from God’s Word also suffer greatly, because they don’t know the answers to life’s most essential questions, such as: “Why am I here?”, “What is the reason and purpose of my existence?”

Often, when I share with others the life principles I discovered while reading the Bible, I notice that most people will drink greedily from the life giving water that flows out of God’s Word and satisfies the inner thirst and yearning of their hearts. Others are fascinated by its predictions of a better future for mankind, and yet others are excited to discover that we are not meant to feel victims of an adverse fate, but that God has given each one of us the tools and resources we need to build a happier life for us and our children.

In recent years, since I became a life coach and began to thoroughly study people’s attitudes, I have realized that many simply lack a solid foundation of truth upon which to build their life, having adopted false beliefs that hinder the fulfillment of their destiny. I have therefore decided to share some of my reflections and practical applications of life that I continue to discover every time that I read and study the Word of God. I hope that they are a blessing to you.
