Last week was a very important one, non only for us, but especially for what God intends to do here in Italy, as on Friday we started to broadcast again our regular Online Webinars to “Heal Broken Hearts“, and the reaction of the participants was phenomenal!  People were touched and hearts were healed throughout the evening, as it was testified by the wonderful reactions that were shared during the event. We passed the mic around and it was difficult to get it back, as everyone had a testimony to share! What a wonderful night!

The reactions were so amazing that we had to do a replay on Sunday night, as those who had missed it and heard about it, wanted to have a chance to listen to the story of Nino Carta, a dear Italian friend, and now a brother, who 9 years ago opened his heart to Jesus and decided to live each day of his life to give love to his fellowmen, after he was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma and told that he had only few months to live. Nino is a talented singer and artist, and he now supports missionaries and visits Children Hospitals to cherish hearts as a clown (his testimony coming up soon!)

About six months ago (May 14, 2009) we launched this series of Webinars in Italian on “Healing Broken Hearts“, so that people’s hearts could be healed without having to travel long distances, but by simply connecting from the safety and comfort of their homes! The reactions of the participants were very touching and encouraged us that it was the Lord’s will for us to proceed with this project. The Lord had opened for us a window through which we could reach those who live far and don’t have the blessing of Christian fellowship. God’s ways are wonderful when we trust Him and are sure to receive His answers to our prayes. We can only praise and thank Him for this.

It all started at the last New Year’s Eve, when we were praying and seeking the Lord about what He wanted us to do in this year (2009), and He reminded us of a passage from the Gospel of Luke, where Jesus quoted an old prophecy from Isaiah to describe His ministry:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me; He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; to heal the broken hearts, and set at liberty them that are bruised” (Luke 4:18).

He showed us that this was His new calling for us this year, and that the new ministry that He wanted us to engage in was going to be called: “Healing Broken Hearts“.

“As My Father sent Me (to heal the broken hearts), even so I send you” (Giovanni 20:21).

We didn’t know at the time “how” He was going to fulfill this in our lives, but we had faith that it was His will for us, so we started to pray and ask the Lord to guide us and open the doors for such a ministry, as we kept following His indications step by step.

A few months later (March 2009), I was invited to listen to a Teleseminar by Lynne Lee (of Christian Life Coaching, UK), when she interviewed dr. Randy Peck, who was promoting “two-way journaling” as a means to experience the presence of God. I was so touched that this dear Christian man was teaching the world about what I had been doing for more than 10 years, that I decided to write him an email.

The next day I received his enthusiastic response, and he then invited me to join him as a guest speaker in one his Webinars: “Experiencing God Through Journaling” (Week 4), in which I was able to share my testimony with the world.

The encouraging reactions of those who participated to that Webinar inspired dr. Peck to suggest that my wife Patrizia and I could hold regular Webinars in Italian and, as we were discussing it, the Holy Spirit spoke through his mouth, when he mentioned that we could call these webinars: “Healing Broken Hearts“!

Randy had no idea at the time that these were the exact words that the Lord has previously used to show us what He had in store for us, so we needed nothing more to understand that this was the door that the Lord was opening for us and that would catapult us into the new ministry that He had been preparing for us. After almost two years of pruning of our branches and remaking of our vessels, as we followed the Lord’s guidance, we were now ready for the new ministry that the Lord was calling us to: Healing Broken Hearts!

“He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3).
