Another Blessing: Leonardo Gerard

Today we had another Blessing Ceremony for our 2nd grandchild, Leonardo, who was born of our 2nd daughter, Sara, and her husband, Wayne, on July 28, 2009. This is the card that Patrizia and I prepared for it, and left as a memento for him and his parents and relatives (Please join us in prayer for Leonardo, as you read along, thank you!):

BLESSING CEREMONY

Leonardo Gerard
Born on July 28, 2009

“Welcome to our lives, Leonardo! You’ve came to bless us with courage and faith, and to inspire our lives with strength and character! As you grow up to inherit the mantle of your fathers, remember that your life has a purpose, and always be prompt to pursue justice and truth! The world needs those who will challenge the usurper and claim freedom for the oppressed, so lift up that torch and be bold to proclaim the righteousness of the Kingdom to come!

“When there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth; and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, He will deliver me out of the hand of the enemy.” (1 Samuel 17:34-37)

To parents and family:

“Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for this child is born to bless the world and your family with a touch of Heaven on earth! May it be written that History will remember the day when this life was born, for this is a child that will make a difference in the lives of many, when the mantle of his fathers will fall on his shoulders, as they graduate to their reward! Behold, it’s recorded in the annals of Heaven that an important life is born, one that will touch the hearts of many and make a difference in the world! He will be mighty amongst the people and will be “bold as a lion”! As little David was brave amongst his people and defended his flock from the lion and the bear, so will he be brave amongst My children and will defend those younger in the faith! He will nurture the little ones and will do exploits amongst men! Let it be written and recorded that this is a child who will be raised in the faith of his fathers and will inherit the mantle of love from his ancestors.”

Your children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be their peace. (Isaiah 54:13)
Train up a child in the way to go: when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

Prayer for Leonardo

Dear Father in Heaven,
we praise You and thank You for Leonardo, this special gift of a new life that You’ve blessed our family with. We trust You with the care of this child, and we pray that Your hand may be always upon him, to care for him and protect him from all evil; that he will find refuge under Your wings and have real joy, both in living and giving; that his life be rich and full of good things; that his heart be always joyful and pure; that Your angels accompany him through life, helping him and directing him to make the right choices; that he be filled with wisdom from above; that his life be a sample of righteousness and love for others; that he might fill the hearts of his parents and those around him with joy; that he be a blessing to many.
In the Name of your precious Son Jesus, our Lord, we pray. Amen.

Grandparents’ Blessing

May you live up to your name, Leonardo, and be “as bold as a lion”
to defend the weak and be a champion for truth and justice.
May you always have a song of gratitude in your heart,
and a positive outlook on the purpose of your life.
May you be temperate and wise in all things.
May you be generous and kind hearted to mankind.
May you be a man of peace and value the little things of life.
May you always have a word of encouragement and appreciation for all.
May your heart be full of inner joy that comes out in your countenance.
May you reach and fulfill all of your dreams.

Blessing Ceremony: Alessia Sofia

This past week my son in law, Wayne, married to our first daughter Chiara, asked me if we would like to give their newborn Alessia (our first grandchild) a “Blessing”. Since he’s not a Christian, but he was raised in a Jewish family, we were somewhat surprised, but the Lord encouraged us to organize a simple ceremony and use it as a witness. So Patrizia and I put together the following Card that we read during the ceremony and left as a memory for Alessia and her parents (we pray that it will be a blessing for you all):

BLESSING CEREMONY

Alessia Sofia

Born on the 15 July 2009

“Welcome, Alessia! You have come to this earth at such a time as this, to bless us with love and grace! As you grow up and discover the world around you, remember that your life has a purpose and that your destiny will be fulfilled as your learn to love and care for those around you! Let this be a beacon to enlighten the path of your life: follow the direction of love and care, for then you will reach the harbor where happiness and fulfillment, and all that you desire, awaits you.”

“The Lord bless you, and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you; the Lord lift up his countenance on you and give you peace.” – (Numbers 6:24-26)

To parents and family:

“The halls of Heaven are filled with excitement that a new baby has come down to earth. The breath of the Father has filled the body conceived in the womb of the mother to bring forth a new living soul! All the angels are filled with joy that this child, Alessia Sofia, is born, for she is a child that will inherit both the lineages of the seed and faith of Abraham! These make a powerful merge and you are yet to see the promises that will be fulfilled through this child that has come to bless the world with love and grace! Oh, the depth of mysteries that will unfold through the adding of this life to the men and women of faith in the hall of fame! You shall see what it’s in store for her, if you believe God’s promises and hold to His Word!”

Children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is a reward.
As arrows in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
Happy is he that has his quiver full of them! – (Psalm 127:3-5)

Prayer for Alessia

God of Heaven, our Rock and our Redeemer, with gratitude for this gift of life we pray that Alessia will grow to joyfully accept her role in this world and make a difference in the lives that she will touch. Bless her, o Lord, with health and full years, happiness and strength. Bless us with understanding and wisdom, so that we may share in the forming of a life guided by the light of Your Word. May this child find favor before You, o Lord, and in the sight of all the people around her. Amen.

Grandparents’ Blessing

May your destiny be a glorious one, Alessia, “defender of mankind”.
May you live to see all of your good dreams and desires fulfilled.
May you bless your generations past and those yet to be.
May your heart be filled with intuition and your words with insight.
May songs of praise and gratitude ever be upon your tongue.
May your vision always be on a straight path before you.
May your eyes shine with the light of holy words.
May your face reflect the brightness of Heaven.
May your lips speak wisdom and your fulfillment be in righteousness, even as you ever yearn to hear the words of the Divine.
May you be always a blessing to those that you meet.

WFJ: “As brave as a lion”!

Last night, July 28, 2009, at 9.17 pm (BST London time) our second grandchild, Leonardo (which means “As brave as a lion”) was born! It was a surprise, as our daughter Sara was not expecting until a few days later, but yesterday afternoon her labor started and within a few hours she give birth to a big baby boy of 9 lbs 1oz, another important life that came to bless the world with his presence!

When praying for the baby, this morning the Lord said:

“Let it be recorded in the annals of Heaven that another important life has been born! This is a life that will touch the hearts of many and will make a difference in the world, because he will mighty amongst My children and will be “brave as a lion”! As little David was brave amongst his people and defended his flock from the lion and the bear (1Samuel 17:34-37), so will this one be brave amongst My children and, together with Alessia, will defend My lambs and My infants in the faith! They will nurture My little ones and they will do exploits amongst men! Let it be written and let it be recorded that these are children who will be raised in the faith of their fathers and will inherit the mantle of My love from their ancestors.”

As you can all imagine, it was a stretch of faith for me to publish these WFJ’s, but when hesitating, the Lord told me:

“Look in My Word and you will see that many of My children were prophesied upon at their birth and went on to fulfill their destiny and what was foretold of them! Be at peace and don’t be afraid to publish it, for it will strengthen My children to see the importance of praying for each child that comes into the world , especially those born in the household of faith! None of them ever come into the world without an important role and destiny to fulfill, so don’t be afraid to publish these prophetic words and to leave them there for a witness! I will uphold the words that I speak unto you and will make them come to pass! Trust Me!

WFJ: Another important life is about to be born!

Will everyone please join me in prayer, as my wife Patrizia is on her way to the hospital , where my second daughter Sara is about to have her baby! Please pray that both mother and child will have a healthy natural delivery and that there won’t be any complication during the birth! Thank you! When praying for them, the Lord said:

Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for another life is about to be born and will come to bless this world and your family with a touch of heaven on earth! May it be written that His-story (My-story) will remember the day when this life has come on earth, for this is a child that will make a difference in the lives of many, for the mantle of the grandparents will fall on his shoulders, when they will graduate to their reward!

Treasure these children that are being assigned to your family, for they have a special role to fulfill in this world, and remember that, what you sow into them while they are still children, it will grow in their lives to be something that, once they are adults, they won’t depart from (Proverbs 22:6)! Nurture them as plants in My garden and they will fill your lives with joy and gladness!

This morning an “important life” was born!

This morning, July 15, 2009, at 8.00 am (BST London time) our first grandchild, Alessia (meaning “defender of mankind”), was born! After two days of painful labor, our 32 yrs old daughter, Chiara, bravely give birth to her first baby with natural childbirth! We want to thank all of you who were praying for this important life that struggled to come to life, but promises to be a real blessing of God’s love and grace to the world!

WFJ: An important life is about to be born!

You can’t imagine the excitement that fills the halls of Heaven every time that a new baby is about to be born! The breath of My Father has filled a new body that was conceived in the womb of the mother and it’s bringing forth a new living soul! That soul is already alive in the womb of the mother and it’s about to come forth to the light of this world, and it’s exciting! All the angels in Heaven are filled with joy at the news that a child is about to be born, and it’s a very special child indeed, believe Me! A child that will inherit both the lineages of the seed and the faith of Abraham! These two make a powerful mixture and you are yet to see the promises that I will fulfill through that child that is about to come to life and will bless this world with My love and grace! Oh, the depth of the mysteries that will be unfolded through the adding of this one life to the men and women of faith that are listed in My halls of fame! You are yet to see what I have is store for you, My son, if you just believe My promises and hold on to My Word!
