Before he was born, that day I woke up early to pray for our daughter while she was in labor and had not delivered yet. This is what I received in my two-way conversation with God:

(Praise): Thank You, Lord, that You “do all things well” (Mk.7:37) and that “all things work together for the good of those who love You” (Rom. 8:28). Your word says: “Believe and you will be saved, both you and your family” (Acts 16:31). My family is under Your blessings and I pray that my daughter will be well and her childbirth will be natural and healthy for both mother and child! Thank You that we don’t have to carry our burdens, because we can trust them to You and You take care of them. Thank You Jesus! I give you praise, honor and glory, for all that You have done in our lives and You continue to do for us!

You are the eternal King of glory Who rules and reigns the universe for eternity! “We have not chosen You, but You have chosen us, and ordained us, that we should bring forth fruit” (John 15:16)! Thank You for the fruit of our womb! Thank You that, like Abraham with Isaac, this child has been blessed from his mother’s womb to receive Your anointing and Spirit, even before his birth, to fulfill his divine destiny and make a positive difference in this world. Thank you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I give you honor and glory, in the name of Jesus!

Please speak to me about this child and reveal Your wisdom and knowledge, amen.

(WFJ): Fear not, for I am with you and with all that you trust in My  care! I have promised to never leave you nor forsake you, and so it is also with this child of Mine that I have cared for, and continue to care for, ever since she was a little one! My Spirit is upon both mother and baby, because the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life!

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life” (Prov. 11:30)! Your daughter is the fruit of your wife’s womb of righteousness and she is a tree of life. What comes out of her womb is life! Luca will be a boy full of life, and he will give My life to others as a witness and a testimony! I proclaim that this child will be a “life bearer”, for he will be filled with My Spirit of life flowing through his being and touching others with My life!

Rest in Me, My son, and let Me finish what I started! I have started a good work in your life, and the lives of those who have come forth of your loins, and I will complete it until the end. My works are perfect and none of the things that you trust into My care will be forgotten, for they will all fulfill their purpose, the reason for which they were sent out into this world! Have faith and enter into your rest! I will take care of both mother and child! I love you!

Later on that morning, I received news that the baby was born and both mother and child were fine, so I went back to my prayer closet and had further intimate time with the Lord:

(Praise): “Lord, thank You for the news I just received that baby Luca is born a healthy baby and that both mother and child are fine, just as You promised! Thank you that You do all things well and that we can trust You to make all things work together for our good! I praise You and worship You and give You honor and glory. Please give me a word of blessing for this new born child, Luca. In Your precious Name I ask, amen.

(WFJ): Let it be written, and let it be proclaimed, that a mighty one has been born today, a man of valor that will speak life into the hearts of many! This is a child that will bear witness of the life that I have given him and he will be a “life bearer”, bearing My life into the lives of many! As the mantle of My anointing falls upon him, he will rise up to his divine destiny and will be “a tree of life”, bearing fruits of life like his grandparents!

How will he be a “life bearer”, you ask Me? By his testimony, and by the fruits of his lips! “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life” (Prov 15:4). He will speak My words of life into the hearts of many!

And how will he be “a tree of life”, you ask Me? By winning souls for My Kingdom! “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that wins souls is wise” (Prov 11:30).

I’m gifting this one with the gift of wisdom and he will be wise in his speech and his tongue will be a tree of life, for he will win many souls for My Kingdom.

“Write the vision, and make it plain on tables, that he may run when he reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time” (Hab. 2:2-3). When that time comes, it will bring forth much fruit! Mark these words and write them down! Make them plain on tables, for they will empower him to run the race that is set before him, when he will read it!

No one can boast of tomorrow, because “you know not what a day may bring” (Prov. 27:1). Overnight, the economic situation can collapse and those who have “built their house on the sand” (Matt. 7:26) can suddenly see it being swept away by floods and winds that are able to hit even places considered secure. It’s not enough to hide behind closed doors and “trust in uncertain riches” that can vanish away! How much better to build our life on solid grounds and “lay up in store a good foundation against the time to come” (1 Tim. 6:17-19).

How do you interpret life? The Bible exhorts us to “look not at the things which are temporal, but at those that are long lasting” (2Cor 4:18), in order to “inherit substance and be filled with treasures“ (Prov. 8:21) and “fullness of joy along the path of life” (Psalm 16:11).

There are few treasures that can be taken away, when moving beyond human existence, and one of these is friendship. There’s an Italian saying, translated as: “Whoever finds a friend, he finds a treasure”. That might not be in the Bible, but it’s an absolute truth! Since we moved in this area (near Rome, Italy), after returning from our last foreign mission field in 1996, our life has been enriched with friends that have added real value to our existence.

During the past 15 years, hundreds (and perhaps thousands) of people have experienced with us the joy of being filled with God’s love, through His Son Jesus, and have become our dear friends. We have seen broken hearts being healed and lives being transformed, which in turn dedicated themselves to bring healing to others. The seeds planted have grown and multiplied, and now there are open homes and worship meetings scattered throughout the whole land, simply because from the beginning of our ministry we decided to obey the Lord and open our doors to those who were hungry and thirsty for truth …

It was a chain reaction! Within a few weeks we had a house full of young people who were hungry and thirsty for God’s Word, just as it’s written in Amos’ prophecy: “Behold, the days come, said the Lord, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord” (Amos 8:11).

As our living room, and then our garden, was filled with thirsty souls searching for an oasis in their desert, we became witnesses of miraculous changed lives! “They cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and He healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:19-20).

Among these, there were many who felt God’s call to follow our sample and dedicate their lives to share His love with others, so our place soon had no more space to house them all. It was then that we moved to a larger farm house, where a new community of hearts (the MELODY Mission) was birthed and today all those who ever lived there have become “light of the world” and “salt of the earth” (Matt. 5:13-14), scattered abroad to give flavor and value wherever they are. “The Spirit was poured on us from on high, and the wilderness became a fruitful field, and the fruitful field was counted for a forest” (Isaiah 32:15).

Now that these groups are able to grow and multiply on their own, the Lord has shown us that it’s time for us to leave this area and move to the northern part of Italy (600 km away), in order to be closer to my wife’s parents, who are in need our physical presence. “Honor your father and mother is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth” (Ephes. 6:2).

The decision has been taken and at the beginning of the coming New Year we will move to the north of Italy! It’s not easy for us, because of the deep ties that we have built over the years, but we know that true friendship will last forever. The physical distance will not separate us from our friends, because our souls are knit, just like the souls of David and Jonathan in the Bible (1 Sam. 18:1).

“Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it” (Song of Sal. 8:7).

(WFJ) My child, Healing Broken Hearts is My passion, and I have poured some of that passion in you! I say “some” of it, because you would not be able to bear the amount of empathy that I share with all My children that cry out to Me day and night from all over the world!

They are crying out with all kinds of questions that I long to answer, but I cannot answer them except through you, My children who are willing to be My body, My face, My tongue, My lips, My arms and My legs! You are the only real “body” that I have on earth to heal the broken hearts! Are you willing to be My “body” to heal the broken hearts?

Yes, it is true that you cannot heal the broken hearts on your own, as that’s really a work of My Spirit within them, but you can be a manifestation of My love to them, so that they know that I truly love them! If you can be that, a manifestation of My unconditional love to others, then I can mightily use you, and I can bring to your side all the laborers you need to fulfill this calling! Yes, it’s a calling! I’m calling you to be My face to the world that suffers!

I’m calling you to be My lips and to pour My words of eternal life into their hearts, for “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and life” (John 6:63), and they bring healing and life to the hungry and broken hearts!

Just let go, and let Me do it through you! All you have to do, to fulfill your calling in life, is to come unto Me each and every day to listen to the words that I speak to you, for they are given not only to you, but they are given so that you can share them with the world!

It’s time that you realize that you have come to the Kingdom for such time as this, and you cannot do it on your own! You need a team, you need others, and you especially need Me, the Author and Finisher of your faith. I have started a good work in you and I will complete it to the end, so that it will be fully equipped to heal the broken hearts and set the captive free! I love you!

As I sat back pondering on the name that her parents had given her, I wondered what would be the original meaning of “Cassia”, so I googled about it and found that in its Hebrews origin Cassia means “Cinnamon”, a spice taken from an evergreen plant! I then asked the Lord, and these are His words spoken to me:

(WFJ): What’s in a name? Names are very important, as they are carried by their bearers for the rest of their lives, and I often even change peoples’ names, when they turn to Me, like I did with Simon, when I called him Peter, or with Saul, when I called him Paul!

That is not something that I did only in the New Testament era, as I often changed people’s names when they turned to Me and became My children, even in the Old Testament times! I did it with Abram, when I called him Abraham, and with Jacob, when I called him Israel … This is something that I still do today, as I often give new names to some of My children, to help them remember their calls in life!

That’s what I did with you, when years ago I called you “Simon”, to help you remember to “feed My sheep” (John 21:16) and “strengthen your brethren” (Luke 22.32)! So, who are you now? Renato or Simon? You are both: Renato Amato (“Born again” and “Beloved”), also called Simon, to remind you to “feed My sheep” and “strengthen your brethren”! Both names remind you “who” you are and “what” you are called to do in life! The name given to you at birth reminds you “who” you are, and the name given to you after your conversion reminds you “what” you are called to do!

Your new grandchild has been named by her parents Cassia, which in Hebrews means “Cinnamon”, a spice that gives a sweet taste and she will do the same with all the people around her! She will add sweet flavor and taste into people’s lives, those that she will touch with My Spirit! Yes, she will carry My Spirit and bring love, joy and peace to those that will be touched by her life! Just teach her My ways and give her a taste of My love. That’s what will give sweet flavor and taste to her life, and she will carry the same into others’ lives!

What a beautiful child she will be! She will be the joy of her sister and parents, and will bring laughter and joy to all people around her! She has been sent down to earth for a mission, which will be fulfilled as she touches people’s lives with My love, joy, peace and other fruits of My Spirit that she will be carrying wherever she goes!

Trust Me, My son, and have faith! Faith and trust will help you to see things with My eyes! The carnal mind cannot understand My ways, but by looking to Me you will be clothed with My mind and you will be able to see things with My perspective and insights into what you cannot understand with your human mind!

This child will grow to be the joy of her grandparents, and of all those who are part of her life, for she will be kind and sweet, and will add the fragrance of cinnamon in the situations that she will be involved in! Trust Me, I know what I’m doing with My little treasure, Cassia!

Psalm 45:8 mentions the garments of the king that smell of myrrh, aloes and cassia.

Cinnamon has been known from antiquity. The Hebrew Bible makes specific mention of the spice many times: first, when Moses is commanded to use sweet cinnamon and cassia in the holy anointing oil; in Proverbs, where the lover’s bed is perfumed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon; and in Song of Solomon, a song describing the beauty of his beloved, cinnamon scents her garments like the smell of Lebanon. It was so highly prized among the ancient nations that it was regarded as a gift fit for monarchs and even for a god.

How to hear God’s Voice (by Mark Virkler)

Christianity is unique among religions, for it alone offers a personal relationship with the Creator beginning here and now, and lasting throughout eternity. Jesus declared,
“This is eternal life – that they may know God” (John 17:2). Unfortunately, many in the Christian Church miss the great blessing of fellowship with our Lord because we have lost the ability to recognize His voice within us. Though we have the promise that “My sheep hear My voice” (John 10:27), too many believers are starved for that intimate relationship that alone can satisfy the desire of their hearts.

I was one of those sheep who was deaf to his Shepherd until the Lord revealed 4 simple keys (found in Habakkuk 2:1, 2) that unlocked the treasure of His voice.

Key #1: God’s voice in your heart often sounds like a flow of spontaneous thoughts.

Habakkuk knew the sound of God speaking to him (Hab. 2:2). Elijah described it as “a still, small voice” (I Kings 19:12). I had always listened for an inner audible voice, and God does speak that way at times. However, I have now found that usually God’s voice comes as spontaneous thoughts, visions, feelings, or impressions.

For example, have you ever been driving down the road when a thought came to you to pray for a certain person? Do you believe it was God telling you to pray? What did God’s voice sound like? Was it an audible voice or a spontaneous thought that lit upon your mind?

Experience indicates that we perceive spirit-level communication as spontaneous thoughts, impressions and visions, and Scripture confirms this in many ways. Therefore, when you want to hear from God, tune to spontaneous thoughts.

Key #2: Become still so you can sense God’s flow of thoughts and emotions within.

Habakkuk said, “I will stand on my guard post…” (Hab. 2:1). Habakkuk knew that to hear God’s quiet, inner, spontaneous thoughts, he had to first go to a quiet place and still his own thoughts and emotions. Psalm 46:10 encourages us to “be still, and know that He is God”. There is a deep inner knowing (spontaneous flow) in our spirits that we can experience when we quiet our flesh and minds. If we are not still, we will sense only our own thoughts.

To receive the pure word of God, it’s very important that my heart be properly focused as I become still, because my focus is the source of the intuitive flow. If I fix my eyes on Jesus, the intuitive flow comes from Jesus. But if I fix my gaze upon some desire of my heart, the intuitive flow comes out of that desire. To have a pure flow I must become still and carefully fix my eyes upon Jesus.

Fix your gaze upon Jesus (Heb. 12:2), becoming quiet in His presence and sharing with Him what is on your heart. Spontaneous thoughts will begin to flow from the throne of God to you, and you will actually be conversing with the King of Kings!

Key #3: Fix the eyes of your heart on Jesus, seeing in the Spirit the visions of God.

Habakkuk said, “I will keep watch to see”, and God said, “Record the vision” (Hab. 2:1,2). Habakkuk was actually looking for vision as he prayed. He opened the eyes of his heart, and looked into the spirit world to see what God wanted to show him.

God has always spoken through dreams and visions, and He specifically said that they would come to those upon whom the Holy Spirit is poured out (Acts 2:1-4, 17).

I had never thought of opening the eyes of my heart and looking for vision. However, I have come to believe that this is exactly what God wants me to do. He gave me eyes in my heart to see in the spirit the visions of God. There is an active spirit world all around us, and it’s full of angels, demons, the Holy Spirit, the omnipresent Father, and His omnipresent Son, Jesus. The only reasons for me not to see this reality are unbelief or lack of knowledge.

In order to see it, we must look. Daniel saw a vision in his mind and said, “I was looking… I kept looking… I kept looking” (Dan. 7:2,9,13). As I pray, I look for Jesus, and I watch as He speaks to me, doing and saying the things that are on His heart. Many Christians will find that if they will only look, they will see, in the same way they receive spontaneous thoughts. Jesus is “Emmanuel, God with us” (Matt. 1:23). It is as simple as that. You can see Christ present with you because Christ is present with you. In fact, the vision may come so easily that you will be tempted to reject it, thinking that it is just you. But if you persist in recording these visions, your doubt will soon be overcome by faith as you recognize that the content of them could only be birthed in Almighty God.

Jesus demonstrated the ability of living out of constant contact with God, declaring that He did nothing on His own initiative, but only what He saw the Father doing, and heard the Father saying (Jn. 5:19,20,30). What an incredible way to live!

Is it possible for you to live out of divine initiative as Jesus did? Yes! Fix your eyes upon Jesus. The veil has been torn, giving access into the immediate presence of God, and He calls you to draw near (Lk. 23:45; Heb. l0: 19-22).

Key #4: Journaling, the writing out of your prayers and God’s answers, brings great freedom in hearing God’s voice.

God told Habakkuk to “record the vision” (Hab. 2:2). This was not an isolated command. The Scriptures record many examples of individual’s prayers and God’s replies (e.g. Psalms, Prophets, Revelation).

I call the process “two-way journaling,” and I’ve found it to be a fabulous catalyst for clearly discerning God’s inner, spontaneous flow, because as I journal I am able to write in faith for long periods of time, simply believing it is God. I know that what I believe I’m receiving from God must be tested. However, testing involves doubt and it blocks divine communication, so I do not want to test while I am trying to receive. With journaling, I can receive in faith, knowing that when the flow has ended I can test and examine it carefully, making sure that it lines up with Scripture.

You will be amazed when journaling. Doubt may hinder you at first, but throw it off and remind yourself that it’s a Biblical concept, that God is present, speaking to His children. Relax. When we cease our labors and enter His rest, God is free to flow (Heb. 4:10). Sit back comfortably, take out your pen and paper, smile, and turn your attention toward the Lord in praise and worship, seeking His face. After you write your question to Him, become still, fixing your gaze on Jesus You will suddenly have a very good thought. Don’t doubt it; simply write it down. Later, as you read your journaling, you will be blessed to discover that you are indeed dialoguing with God.

A final note: Knowing God through the Bible is a vital foundation to hearing His voice in your heart, so you must have a solid commitment to knowing and obeying the Scriptures. It is also very important for your growth and safety that you be related to spiritual counselors. All major directional moves that come through journaling should be confirmed by counselors before you act upon them.” (Dr. Mark Virkler)

“I don’t think there’s anything more soul destroying than ‘feeling’ alone and unloved. This was the story for me after a couple of months of living in what people call the ‘eternal city’. Many experiences moved me from being a ‘somebody’ in London to a ‘nobody’ in Italy … struggling with the language, being bullied back in a classroom, broken promises, spending beyond my means, gaining weight, being attacked by killer mosquito’s, knocked down by the heat, defeated by a lack of friends and thrown into confusion by the chaos that is Rome.

My confidence and self esteem took a serious beating and it was into this state of utter brokenness, of feeling completely vulnerable and exposed, that God introduced me to Patrizia … on a train station enroute to Viterbo. Surprisingly we were two of a handful of passengers who had to wait over an hour for another train to take us home. Not surprisingly I discovered that she had spent most of her life as a Christian Missionary in places like Bulgaria, Bangladesh and India. I say not surprisingly because, on reflection afterwards, I remembered having pleaded with God four years earlier to take me to a place where the language was foreign and I had no friends, no possessions, no family and no distractions, and in that moment, to reveal to my heart what it was He was calling me to do with my life. Mission and the conversion of souls have resonated in me ever since.

Patrizia, and her husband Renato, became the physical manifestations of Jesus to me, demonstrating in a visible and remarkably inspiring way, that the sacrificial love God calls us to can actually be lived and that dying to self can bear rich fruit …

“Yesterday afternoon, Renato and I had our our weekly coaching call over the Internet. Wow!!! While I’m supposedly the one doing the coaching, it seems I’m the one receiving the most coaching as I learn so many valuable life lessons. As the time was approaching for Moses to be taken up into Heaven, the Lord instructed him to: “Charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land”! (Deut. 3:28)

As we allow ourselves to be channels of encouragement for our brothers and sisters, we might not know it, but we could be strengthening and charging new “modern-day Joshua’s” to go before their people and cause them to inherit God’s promised land!

My name is Renato Amato, and with my wife Patrizia, we are both the founders of HEALING BROKEN HEARTS,
a worldwide ministry that is reaching out to those who are experiencing severe hurts and pain from events that have left open wounds in their hearts, and who are looking for someone who will coach them to a happier life.

It’s not God’s will for you to continue to nurse your wounds! He wants you to move on from the pain and sorrow that you’re now experiencing to a new life of happiness and fulfillment! He wants you to experience the “full joy” that He promised in His Word: “These things have I spoken to you, that My joy might be in you, and that your joy might be full.” (John 15:11)

How do I know this, you ask? Because I have been there, and I know what it means to not be able to sleep at night, when your thoughts continue to remind you of what happened to you, and you just don’t understand! You continue to ask: “Why? Why this has happened? Why me? Couldn’t have things gone some other way? A happier way?”

I’m happy to tell you that I have found the answers to those questions and the keys that have worked for me, and for hundreds of other people, and I will be happy to share them with you, if you give me a chance to coach you to victory! In the following pages, I will soon post my life’s “Biography”, where you will be able to read a bit more about me and the path that has led me to a life of victory, but for the moment I can tell you this about ourselves:

My wife Patrizia and I are a missionary couple who has widely traveled around the world, spending the last 35 years of our lives in many different countries (India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Peru, Hungary, Bulgaria, Switzerland and now Italy), and ministering to people from different cultures and religions. For the first 20 years of our ministry (1976 to 1996) we crossed the world from one end to the other and told everyone (Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Atheists, etc.) about the love of Jesus, inviting them to experience God’s love by faith and share the spiritual blessings that He has poured upon His children.

Then, at the end of 1996, my wife and I were compelled to return to the Western world, because of of health reasons. At that time, it seemed as if our missionary life had come to an end, because I didn’t think that these “richer nations” had any opportunity of service for missionaries like us, so I went through a few months of desperately searching my heart and asking the Lord what He wanted from us now … It was then that, in the night, I started to hear God’s voice speaking to my heart, just like someone whispering in my ears, saying:

“Your missionary life has not ended! What makes of you a missionary? Foreign fields in which you operate? Or the passion of your soul to reach others with My love wherever you are! Don’t look at this country as your “home land”, but see it as the new “mission field” that I’m entrusting you with! There are multitudes in these lands who need Me! Many are crying day and night and asking Me: “Why this? Why that?” But I have no way to answer them, except through the lips of those amongst My children who are willing to be My mouthpieces and speak to them My words of eternal life! Will you be My voice for them? Will you let Me use you as a spokesman to reach out to their hearts and teach them My love?”

Needless to say, hearing God’s voice speaking like that, like a river of words flowing in my mind and telling me what to do, is something that totally changed my life and led me to a ministry that touched hundreds of people here in Italy, inspiring scores of young people to consecrate themselves to a life of full-time service to the Kingdom, with some of them who went to Africa, South America and the Middle East, as missionaries for Jesus.

All of this was a true work of God’s Spirit, as we just followed each step that God whispered in our hearts. However, it was not until the year 2000 that I started to type the messages that I was receiving from the Lord, at first a bit randomly here and there, when I would get something that I felt worthy of recording, but then slowly getting in the habit of writing down each message, until today I have a full Journal of many years of listening to God’s voice!

Then, about three years ago (2006), I reached a new point of crisis in my life, when I started to experience THE BREAKING OF MY HEART!

Please be sure read the rest of my story in the upcoming “Biography” that I will soon be posting under another page, but let me just tell you for the moment that the heart-breaking experiences, which did cause a lot of pain and suffering in my heart, were what God used to bring me closer to Him and to help me experience THE HEALING OF MY HEART!

I can look back at it now and can tell you with confidence that it doesn’t hurt me anymore, but on the contrary, I’m thankful that it happened, because it led me where God wanted me to be today! I also don’t feel any bitterness or resentment towards those that I previously had perceived as “responsible” for my hurts, but on the contrary the Lord has given me an abundance of love for them, as I now see them as the instruments that God used to bring me where He wanted to be: in the center of His perfect will! What a glory! Praise God!

My prayer is that you will also experience THE HEALING OF YOUR BROKEN HEART and move on towards the glorious future that He has in store for you! Jesus loves you, and He has proved it by giving His life on the cross for you! Will you now let Him coach you towards THE HEALING OF YOUR HEART and the wonderful life of love and joy that He has for you?
